What is Model Off-Duty Style?
The term “model off-duty” means exactly what it sounds like: a model who’s not currently working (or off-duty). Therefore, a model’s off-duty style is referring to their street style, because that is pretty much the only other time we see models. Since we often only see them walking red carpets or in fashion magazines/campaigns.
There’s a massive love for model off-duty looks because models are seen as beautiful and perfect, and therefore, are idolized. Hence, why their sense of fashion is so sought after. And the best part about their looks is that they are so easy to recreate. If you want to know how to dress like an off-duty model, I’m going through the essential pieces you need, and basic outfit formulas you can use forever.

The Pieces You Need:
The key to dressing like an off-duty model is basics. Because the most common factor across these looks is basics like jeans and crop tops. That’s it! Jeans, crop tops, bodysuits, and black accessories are used as the foundation to master this style. Models build upon this foundation with gold jewelry, chic jackets, purses, sunglasses, and trendy shoes.
Outfit Formulas:
Crop Tops & Straight Jeans
Currently, a crop top paired with high-waisted jeans is the most popular outfit formula you will see on today’s supermodels. It’s effortless, yet stylish, and extremely easy to replicate.
Dresses & Over The Knee Boots
This is by far the hottest look on this list. The oversized dress brings forward the casual element, which is the foundation of the model off-duty style. While over-the-knee boots bring out the sultry side of fashion. Each of these outfit formulas on this list has an aspect of sexiness, paired with a casual piece, defining this type of style.
Bodysuits & Jeans
This is personally my favorite outfit combo because bodysuits are so convenient. If you’re not one for shorter tops – which I am not at the moment because it’s the freezing month of January right now – bodysuits are the perfect alternative to still achieve the off-duty style. They allow you to look put together and stylish was staying comfortable. Because the key to the model off-duty style is comfort.

Co-ords/Matching Sets
While some models opt for more casual looks, others take advantage of their off-time with dressier looks. Co-ords, coordinated sets, are by far the easiest way to look fashionable, without actually having any idea how to put together an outfit.
Leather Jackets & Black Boots
A leather jacket, skinny jeans, and black booties are the quintessential outfit formula you will see on models. This outfit combo simply never gets old because it’s such a classic look coined by models’ street style. Each piece is always in style and flatters any body type. You can never go wrong with this look.
