Halloween is right around the corner, and I bet you already know that. Because I wouldn’t be surprised if you were reading this the day before or the day of Halloween. I do the same thing though! I get so caught up with school because October is during mid-terms, and then I just forget about getting a Halloween costume. And the toughest costumes of all are group costumes because you all have to agree on one. I compiled this list with chic costume ideas, as well as risque and nerdy ideas! These are 20 easy, last-minute Halloween group costumes you’ll definitely end up choosing!

1. Animals
My roommates and I all chose this last year for our group costume! Worked out super well, we each picked an animal, bought a matching headband, and dug through our closets to find some animal print.
2. Girl Scouts
I had never thought of this as a group costume, but it’s such a cute idea that I want this to be the next group costume I do! I love how easy this costume is, but how recognizable it will still be!
3. Athletes
Have a hockey or football jersey? This costume is always a good staple because everyone can tell who you are, and you get to be super comfortable all night.
4. Hippies
Love this hippies costume! You and your friends will all look like you came right from the ’70s!
5. Mean Girls
Who hasn’t seen Mean Girls?! This costume is a great idea if you need a last-minute costume, because all you need is some early 2000’s clothes, or a full pink outfit, and you’re good to go!
6. The Purge
Want a costume that’s a little spookier? This one is for you then. The Purge has always creeped me out – I hate horror movies – so it makes for a great costume. All you need is a creepy mask and some fake blood!
7. Playboy Bunny
There are definitely two ways to dress up as a Playboy Bunny, and I’m sure you know both. I included the more modest option in case you didn’t want to freeze your butt off on Halloween – I live and go to school in New England, so Halloween is a chilly time.
8. M & M’s
Do you and your friends not feel like spending a lot of money on Halloween costumes, but still want to match? This is a great option! You don’t have to spend a ton of money on those Party City costumes to all match. For this costume, all you need is a colored tee and matching socks! You can even DIY the tee if you don’t want to buy one with the M & M’s logo.
9. Frat Guys
This costume always makes me laugh because you can obviously tell who they are dressed as. This costume is not only humorous but great if you need something last-minute! Make sure you have a button-down, some mid-calf socks, and sunglasses.
10. Flapper Girls
I’m kind of in love with this costume, look at how cute this photo is! If you and your group want some cute Instagram photos, or a cute guy’s number, go for this costume. All you really need is the sparkly skirt and a top to match!
11. Soldiers
Have camo in your closet? This is a great last-minute costume idea for you and your group if you all have a camo piece of clothing, and black boots to match.
12. Boxers
A super last-minute costume idea that’s always easy is going as a boxer. All that’s needed is a workout outfit, a black robe and boxing wrap!
13. Tourists
If you and your group are looking for a fun costume idea that’s funny, rather than scandalous, this is a great option. And everyone will know what you’re dressed as because tourists travel in groups!
14. Criminal Disney Princesses
I started seeing these costumes this past year, and they’re super creative. You’ll just need to be a little more effort in for the sign.
15. Cave Women
Looking for a cute costume for you and your group that won’t require much effort? All you need is an animal print skirt and some small bone hair accessories off Amazon.
16. Victoria’s Secret Angels
I love this costume, because if you have some Victoria’s Secret pajamas, then you’re set! The wings are a nice touch if you really want the costume to work.
17. Pirates
This is your typical costume that can look good, and be done last-minute. You just need a red bandana, black boots and a white blouse.
18. Clueless
Want a more chic option? Dressing up as the main characters from Clueless is what you need. You not only look fashionable as heck, but everyone will know who you are! (You’ll also have a really cute outfit to wear for after Halloween as well!)
19. Lifeguards
A team of lifeguards is a great group costume! It’s a super affordable option, as well, because it doesn’t require many pieces.
20. Angels and Devils
This might be my favorite Halloween costume because it’s always my go-to when I have no other ideas. All it requires is red or white clothing, and then I just buy the devil horns or angel halo! Super easy, and your entire group will look awesome.
